Famed sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens (last name is also referred to as "St Gaudens") is widely known for designing the twenty-dollar gold coin minted from 1907 to 1933.
This replica 1 oz silver round is modeled after Saint-Gauden’s original and now iconic striding-Liberty design currently used by the U.S. Mint on Gold Eagle coins.
The front of the round features a likeness of Lady Liberty carrying a torch and olive branch with sun rays in the background and stars lining the outer edge of the medallion.
The back of the round has an eagle perched on a branch with the weight and purity designation of "ONE OUNCE .999 FINE SILVER" curved around the top of the piece along with the SilverTowne mintmark beneath the eagle’s talons.
These silver rounds are made in the U.S.A. Multiples of 20 arrive in sealed plastic tubes.
