In a wide-ranging and outside-the-box discussion, Didier Sornette and Cris Sheridan explain why leading researchers and scientists are starting to view the market in terms of a biological system, where investors (both human and machine) interact in a highly synchronized fashion according to the same principles at work in many natural complex systems, particularly the human brain. Didier Sornette holds the Chair of Entrepreneurial Risks at ETH Zurich (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich) since March 2006. He is also Adjunct Professor of Geophysics at IGPP and ESS at UCLA, and Concurrent Professor at the School of Business and Research Center of Systems Engineering at the East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST), Shanghai. For full access to the interview, please login and click the MP3 button or click here to subscribe.
